Tactical De-Escalation Training

A one-hour prevention and intervention certification course designed for property management staff and associates.

Emotions are running high and more frequent confrontations are being reported. Property management teams, now more than ever, need training to de-escalate situations with residents and non-residents — including trespassers.

De-escalation is the controlled act of moving others from a state of elevated tension to reduced tension. The tactical part is situational awareness: deciding when to approach, recognizing signs of physical aggression, creating defensible space, then moving toward resolution. The tactical pause — stepping back, reflective listening and responding appropriately — gives everyone time to think.
